Noisy Offering to Support Work in South Sudan

By February 27, 2020Global, News, Serve

Millions of people in South Sudan have been impacted by the ravages of civil war and famine. You may have heard about the situation from First Lutheran members at the Gifts of Hope South Sudan market station.  This situation has led to the food insecurity of more than 7 million people. The ELCA is working together with others for immediate famine relief. The church’s long-term commitment to South Sudan is in sustainable food security, livelihoods, health and sustained ministry. Your support through Lutheran Disaster Response, ELCA World Hunger and ELCA Global Church Sponsorship will help bring God’s hope and healing to all those affected. The Noisy Offering this Sunday will go to Lutheran Disaster Relief to support their work in South Sudan.

Last month’s Noisy Offering raised $177.40 for the Lutheran Food Pantry.
