Make Plans to Shop at Gifts of Hope Alternative Market

By November 15, 2019Events, News, Serve

Thinking ahead to Christmas gift giving? First Lutheran’s alternative gift market, Gifts of Hope, offers you a variety of twice-giving gift opportunities. Come shop Saturday, December 7, 5:00-7:00 PM, or Sunday, December 8, 8:30-12:30. We accept cash, checks, credit cards and debit cards.

With all the construction and only one entrance the  Commons can get a little crowded but your stroll down the market place will be worth the effort. Get a cup of fair trade coffee, pick up a tally sheet at any of the market stations and start shopping. We have gifts for all ages and a wide range of prices. Check out the children’s aprons to handmade jewelry, spunky potholders and greeting cards that will 100% support ELCA World Hunger. Hand-woven baskets and stunning batik fabrics from Tanzania will be available as tangible reminders of your support for scholarships for young women overseas.  The market will also give you the opportunity to purchase delicious Fair Trade chocolate, a mosquito net to help prevent malaria, a backpack through the Food Bank or support the work of AMMPARO.
