January Book Discussion Features Nebraska Author

By January 7, 2020Adults, Learn, News

Our January book conversation on Monday, January 20, from 6:00-7:30 pm, centers on Local Wonders: Seasons in the Bohemian Alps by Nebraska author, Ted Kooser. He describes with exquisite detail and humor the place he calls home in the rolling hills of southeastern Nebraska—an area known as the Bohemian Alps. Nothing is too big or too small for his attention. Kooser is a seer in the truest sense of the word, discovering the extraordinary within the ordinary, the deep beneath the shallow, the abiding wisdom in the pithy Bohemian proverbs that are woven into his essays. The book is available through the Lincoln Public Library or any local book stores.
