Darryl White Breaks Attendance Records at First Friday Jazz

By November 5, 2017Events, News

Over 300 people packed into the Activity Center at the First Friday Jazz concert on November 3 to enjoy one of the region’s most talented trumpet players, Darryl White. It was one of the biggest audiences ever in the seven years of First Friday Jazz and no one left disappointed. His performance brought the crowd to their feet wishing for more. Joining Darryl were two other very talented musicians, Ron Cooley, guitarist from Mannheim Steamroller (and father-in-law to Darryl!) and bassist, Hans Sturm. Together, the three provided 60+ minutes of some of the finest jazz music you could hear. Take a moment and listen to a few short clips of Darryl’s performance. You will want to watch it all the way to the end!

First Friday Jazz is a series of free monthly jazz concerts at First Lutheran between October-April, from 11:30 am-12:30 pm, and serves as a gift to the community.
