A Safety Message from Pastor Dan…

By May 12, 2019News

Last Sunday night we experienced quite a storm here in Lincoln. I was here with the elementary school families and some middle school families. We appropriately followed our emergency protocols for such a storm. We went to a windowless room on the lower level and waited it out. We played games and ate our meal. We made the best of a precarious evening in Nebraska.

It dawned on me that I should remind everyone that during these months of construction, our ordinary evacuation plans will change. For example, we won’t be exiting out the front door for several months. We can’t evacuate through the new kitchen for a few more weeks.
So, my word this week is to ask everyone to take note of the functioning exits wherever you find yourselves in the facility. Before your meeting begins, verbally announce where the exits are in case of crisis. We’ve moved the AED machine and the First Aid supplies to the west end of the Commons corridor. We’re trying to keep all exits clear of clutter during this construction time.
Thank you for your patience and your willingness to keep everyone safe.
Blessings and Peace,
Pastor Dan
