Food Bank of Lincoln provides Food Markets at the middle and high schools. First Lutheran has a team of volunteers at the Lincoln High Food Market setting out food, assisting students and putting items away.

We take feeding the hungry seriously. Every Friday children who qualify are given a food-filled backpack through the Lincoln Food Bank BackPack Program. We are one of sponsors covering the cost and distributing the backpacks.

Quilts are distributed by LWR to refugees and others in need. A quilt brings warmth, shelter, its a backpack, room divider or a home for the homeless. Previous quilting experience is not needed to participate.
