Faith in Daily Living
Faith in daily living is about creating space for God, discovering who we are (discernment) and realizing deep down in our hearts whose we are. The foundation of our faith journey is spiritual formation. Some describe spiritual formation as the process of moving from the head to the heart; moving from having a lot of information about faith and about God to learning to put that faith, understanding and knowledge into practice.
Faith in daily living hinges on the realization that every thing we have belongs to God and everything we do is in response to God’s love. Our talents, time, material belongings and financial resources are all gifts from God and are to be used for the glory of God. Sharing those resources is what stewardship is all about. Stewardship means the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care. That includes caring for God’s creation, our brothers and sisters around the world, a little one at First Learning Center as well as the church building and the members of First Lutheran.
First Lutheran offers a variety of programs and resources that are designed to support, assist and encourage you as you create space for God, practice good stewardship and everyday celebrate being a child of God.
