Spirit Led

Spirit Led is a newsletter/flier published once a month, in-house at First Lutheran.  It is not an answer, nor is it a one-size-fits-all formula, prescription or shortcut to living a Spirit filled life.  It is just a tool to help refocus attention on God.  It includes devotional activities, prayers, quotes and often a list of resources.  Spirit Led may serve as a stepping stone for you as you travel the road of life and seek to put God in the center of every thing you do and say.

Spirituality Thursday

Christian spirituality involves a choice we make to "know and grow" in our daily relationship with God by submitting to the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives, taking time for prayer and joining in conversations that allow us to process and share as a comminity. It is time to ponder, pray, ask and listen as we take time to focus on our faith.  Once a month we gather with other disciples to focus on and talk about spirituality. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month, from 6:30-8:00 PM in the Chapel.

Taizé Worship

Taizé is a meditative, reflective service with song, silence, prayer and scripture readings. The music used in the services of daily prayer was composed for the unique liturgical needs of the Taizé Community in France, by the brothers in the Community and Jacques Berthier, a composer and friend of Taizé. Through the use of chorales, ostinatos (short, repetitive refrains), acclamations, responses and cannons, worshippers with diverse liturgical backgrounds are able to participate immediately.

Taizé is be offered the 4th Sunday of the month at 7:00 PM. The service lasts 40-45 minutes and is held in the Chapel. Enter using the main front entry and please observe silence as you enter.

Faith to Go!

Faith To Go! -- happens the 2nd & 4th Wednesday at 6:30 -7:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church.

Faith To Go! -- is a mid-week gathering learning from each other and sharing stories of faith in daily living. Each week a speaker/presenter is invited to share a glimpse of their daily life. Their story serves at the kick off for discussion. The hour includes a light breakfast, plenty of coffee, group discussion and prayer.

Faith to Go! – is not a club, committee or task force but a gathering of early risers learning to go forth as faithful disciples. All are welcome anytime.
