Men's Action Network

Men's Action Network (MAN) provides fellowship for men who have fun working together on building and clean-up projexts for individuals in need. The profects are often collaborative ones with other community service organizations. MAN has no meetings, no dues, no reports, no flower fund. They just enjoy working together on a project and getting to know each other while working. For more information contact Ron Thomsen or the church office at 402.488.0919.

Saturday with the Guys

Men of all ages are invited to gather the second Saturday of the month, 8:00-9:00 AM, at First Lutheran. Enjoy a light breakfast, cup of good coffee and join the discussion centered on a book or video clip.  We are currently reviewing and discussing Philip Yancey's book, What's So Amazing About Grace?" Yancey says "We speak of grace often.  But do we understand it?  More important, do we truly believe in it...and do our lives proclaim it as powerfully as our words?" He goes on to say "There is nothing we can do to make God love us more.  There is nothing we can do to make God love us less."

Come join us the second Saturday of each month as we meet to discuss the question of grace and how it affects our lives.  Contact Jim Kisling or Mitch Snyder with your questions.

Pick-Up Basketball

If you enjoy a little exercise and some friendly competition, join us in the FLC Activity Center for some pick-up basketball.  Any and all members of First Lutheran are welcome - play times are on Tuesday evenings from 8:30-10pm, unless there are other activities scheduled in the Activity Center.
