First Friday Jazz at First
First Friday Jazz at First Lutheran is a ninety-minute live jazz concert offered in the First Lutheran Church Activity Center on the first Friday of each month, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Leading jazz groups from the Lincoln community will provide a relaxing and entertaining respite for a citywide audience. These events are open the whole community, not only First Lutheran Members. Guests are encouraged to either bring or purchase lunch from a commercial vendor each month, sit back and relax to great music while chatting with new and old friends. Visit http://www.1stfridayjazz.org/ to read about upcoming performers and vendors.
Bring that special someone to the Friday, February 3rd, "In The Mood For Love" Valentie's jazz concert! Enjoy songs, suchas "I Love You" by Cole Porter, "My Romance" by Rodgers & Hart, "Michelle" and "Yesterday" by Lennon & McCarney, and "All the Things You Are" by Hammerstein & Kern, just to name a few of the many love songs.
The Ed Love Quartet featuring Ed Love, Peter Bouffard, Kevin Kroon and Rusty White bring to the stage over 130 years of experience as professional musicians.
As always, there is no charge for the concert. Audience members are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Lincoln Food Bank and the Lutheran Food Pantry.
