Fellowship
We want you to feel connected. All of the fellowship events at First Lutheran are designed to equip you and your family to live and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Here are just some of the regular fellowship events for adults that you can connect with:
MAN (Men's Action Network)
Men's Action Network (MAN) provides fellowship for men who have fun working together on building and clean-up projects for individuals in need. The projects are often collaborative ones with other community service organizations. MAN has no meetings, no dues, no reports, no flower fund. They just enjoy working together on a project and getting to know each other while working. For more information contact Ron Thomsen or the church office at 402-488-0919.
Young in Heart
Young in Heart is designed for those who feel just like that - young in heart. While most who attend Young in Heart functions are our retired and semi-retired members, all are welcome to be young in heart! Members of this group get together on the second Wednesdays for fellowship and learning with guest speakers.
SOMA (Sort of Middle Aged)
As the acronym suggestions, the majority of people who participate in SOMA events are "sort of middle aged" though all are welcome to participate in their activities. SOMA Gathers about once a month for local community events and dinner.
Couples in Christ
Couples in Christ welcomes all people, married or not, to join in their fellowship and service activities. They gather about once a month for fellowship and service.
TGIF
TGIF is a group for young adults in their 20's and 30's to connect through social gatherings.
This group generally meets on the 3rd Friday of each month at various places.
Pick-up Basketball
If you enjoy a little exercise and some friendly competition, join us in the FLC Activity Center for some pick-up basketball. Any and all members of First Lutheran are welcome - play times are on Tuesday evenings from 8:30-10pm, unless there are other activities scheduled in the Activity Center. Lutheran League Volleyball
First Lutheran usually has 1-2 teams that participate in the Recreational Lutheran Volleyball League. Adults of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join in the fun! Games are held Sunday afternoons January-March. Watch for a sign up sheet in the Commons or call the Church Office for more information.
