Confirmation Ministry
Our Confirmation Ministry involves youth in 7th-8th Grade, as well as the very beginning of their 9th Grade year. This ministry includes education, team building, fun, and experiencing what it means to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. It is an intentional time for developing relationships, deepening faith, and learning more about what it means to be a Lutheran Christian. In order to use this time to the fullest, Confirmation Ministry utilizes several outlets. During Sunday School, students explore the Bible on a more mature level, and discuss what it means for their life today. Students study the Small Catechism and other important topics during workshops that are held throughout the year. In addition, students complete both congregational and community service hours, worship notes, and develop a relationship with a mentor of their choosing with whom they discuss questions of faith. Through all of this, the ultimate goal of this ministry is to nurture, educate, and prepare disciples to work in God's kingdom today and throughout their future.
