VBS 2011
Thank you to all who made this year’s Vacation Bible School a success. We had a wonderful time singing songs, creating crafts, playing games, making friends, and learning about God’s love for us. Throughout the week we learned to SEE God at work, knowing that God works through each and every one of us. We were able to HEAR God’s word, recognizing that when we listen to God’s word and strive to live it out in all we do, we are letting our hearts be like good soil. We were challenged to OFFER our gifts, knowing that God gave each of us gifts and that we are to use those gifts to help others. We also learned that we are called to EXCLAIM the Good News by letting our light shine for all the world to see. Finally, we were called upon to SERVE others, by following Jesus’ example when He washed his disciple’s feet. All week long we met in small groups, ate fantastic snacks, experienced wacky and wonderful worships, and learned more about what it means to put on the kind of S.H.O.E.S. that will make us ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. A special thank you to our small group leaders, our adult mentors, our kitchen crew, our preschool pals, our games specialists, and our worship and long leaders. We could not have done it without you! Thank you so much! |
