Building Connections with Children
First Lutheran is committed to providing Christ-centered and child-focused ministries for children of all ages. Activities support the understanding that children are not only the future of the church, but they are integral members of the Body of Christ today! From an early age, children are welcomed and encouraged to play an active role in the life of the church.
Our mission is to help kids know, love, and follow Jesus as they grow in their relationships with God and one another. Ministries are designed to reinforce and enhance children’s understanding of and belief in their identities as children of God. Intentional opportunities for hands-on service allow children to develop an awareness of the needs of others and their responsibility for using their God-given gifts in the world. With a focus on community and relationship building, children are provided with a sense of belonging, and a feeling of acceptance, value, and worth. |
