Building Connections
When we speak of “building connections,” we’re talking about the ways in which God connects people to one another—people we know, and people we haven’t yet met. We build connections through fellowship, learning and service—with those of our own age, and with those of all ages.

Parish Protection Program: With a commitment to providing a safe environment for all our children, First Lutheran participates in Safeguarding God's Children, a program geared to preventing and responding to child sexual abuse in everyday life and in ministry. This program emphasizes screening of all adult volunteers, provides clear standards for appropriate vs. inappropriate interactions in ministry, and offers guidelines for training and supervision. All adults who work with children and youth at First Lutheran are required to participate in the annual Safeguarding God’s Children training and to submit to a background check.
